Perfect Timing

By now, most of you would be aware of the haze that's shrouding Malaysia and Singapore. Though its not an uncommon yearly event, this year has seen some very high levels of air pollution indexes. Buildings disappear, people walking around everywhere with masks, panic ensues. This also has an affect on my photography, as architectural and travel photography rely on me having to be outdoors for some shots, especially buildings. If you can't see it, how do you photograph it!

Thankfully, I've encountered amazing breaks of weather in between to be able to shoot my projects on blue skies, even if its not fully clear. A project I photographed last week in Cyberjaya for AKPL.US had amazing flat blue skies on the day, which quickly turned to grey the next day.

I've had to rely on reading weather forecasts 2 weeks in advance to try and see whether the days will turn out good or bad, and I've been blessed so far.

To perfect days, be it rain or shine, to capture the best of photos.

Travel

Along this new journey of mine, I have been quite blessed to have the opportunity to venture into travel photography. After my first job with Imajin, I was introduced to the editor of Conde Nast Traveler China and landed my first travel job shooting a feature on Singapore. Great photos lead me to being offered to shoot other places, being able to explore Macau, Bintan Island, and also closer to home recently, Penang. I can't wait to see where else I'll be able to explore, and see what other great images I'll start to create. Stay tuned for more from the future.
